Japanese giant Sony aims to increase its hold on the Middle East market, reported the Gulf News on Thursday.
Last year, the region experienced a Dh1.98 billion ($540 million) revenue - a small slice of Sony's $60 billion worldwide turnover.
Expansion of the regional effort into areas of Africa will help Sony reach its projected growth, a Sony statement said, cited by the paper.
Viewed as an important growth region, Sony said it was the young people in the Middle East and Africa that would contribute to the growth – Albawaba.com
