Sony Gulf FZE recently announced the launch of the new Cyber-shot T9 – the first slim-line Cyber-shot ‘T’ Series member to feature Super SteadyShot technology, a 6-megapixel resolution and a whole gamut of the latest features including a large 2.5-inch 230K dots pixel Clear Photo LCD Plus screen and the “Slide Show with Music” function.

“Users of ultra-compact cameras often worry about inevitable hand movement when shooting but with the new Cyber-shot T9 they can shoot sharp images all the time,” said Mr. Masaru Tamagawa, managing director, Sony Gulf FZE. “The Cyber-shot T9 prevents such occurrence with its Super SteadyShot technology, which intuitively compensates for any hand movement. “

Eliminate Blurred Pictures and Shoot High Sensitivity Images
The Super SteadyShot feature is a Sony Optical Image Stabilizer Technology that counteracts camera-shake, without compromising the quality of images and allows the camera to achieve a higher level of smoothness when shooting.  This is especially useful in low-light photography, when using slow shutter speeds or shooting telephoto images.

The Cyber-shot T9 is also the first in the “T” Series to incorporate the newly developed “Clear RAW NR” function, which lets one shoot in situations requiring high sensitivity (ISO 640) for clearer and better quality images.

Improved Clear Photo LCD Plus
The camera’s ultra-bright 230K dots pixel Clear Photo LCD plus screen possesses a higher contrast ratio than previous models in the Cyber-shot ‘T’ Series and enables more accurate colour reproduction for the clear and brilliant display of images under any lighting condition. Its one-touch “brightness boost” button also allows the user to brighten a dark image conveniently for better visibility.

Slide Show with Music: Pocket Scene Reviewer
The “Slide Show with Music” feature of the Cyber-shot T9 enables the playback of images captured in a slide show format.  The feature lets one upload their favourite music to accompany the slide show, while having control over the interval between each image, the range of images to be played back, and even slide show repeats.  Additionally, users have the choice to set the right mood for their slideshows with four available music options - Simple, Nostalgic, Stylish, and Active.

The sliding cover that protects the lens and flash serves as the unit's on / off switch when shifted down or up.  At 134g and only 16.8mm (excluding sliding lens cover) in thickness, the Cyber-shot T9 is one of the most compact and stylish cameras in the market and is available in sleek black or cool silver.

For added convenience, the Cyber-shot T9 comes with 58 MB internal memory and a Memory Stick flash media slot.  It takes up to 240 shots in one charge cycle, which is higher than any other Cyber-shot ‘T’ series camera.  The Cyber-shot T9 also offers MPEG-VX Standard/Fine mode, which enables recording of MPEG video with up to 640x480 pixel resolution at 30 frames per second.
