Six people have drowned in the northwestern part of Iran after heavy rains caused a river to burst its banks, a daily reported on Saturday.
The floods struck in Western Azerbaijan Province, in the Khalkhal area south of the city of Ardabil, The Jomhouri-Eslami newspaper said.
The swollen Agh-Shay river swamped several villages and cut off others, it further added. (Albawaba.com)
