Omani Telecommunications (OTC) has signed an RO950,000 ($2.47 million) agreement with Germany's Siemens for the installation of a new international telephone exchange, said countrywatch.com.
Under the agreement, the German company will provide all the extra equipment required for the work on the new telephone exchange, which will be implemented within five months.
The agreement was signed as part of OTC efforts to secure international telephone communications traffic, since the new telephone exchange will provide 5,500 traffic channels, it added – Albawaba.com
