Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes stated that among the deceased is a juvenile believed to be the shooter.

Police responded to the active shooter call at 10:57 a.m., discovering multiple victims with gunshot wounds. Officers are continuing to clear the school as investigations unfold. This tragic update deepens the shock and sorrow surrounding the incident at the non-denominational school, which serves nearly 400 students.

Madison Police urged residents to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
By noon, officials confirmed that the shooter was "down," according to ABC News.
