ALBAWABA - According to the Israeli Emergency Services, five people have been injured during a shooting in the city of Ashdod in Israel.

Israeli Channel 13 reported that one of the injured had succumbed to his wounds and had been pronounced dead. According to the Palestinian Information Center, the man killed was a police officer serving in Ashdod.
The Israeli police reported that it is chasing a man who is believed to be linked to one of the shooting sites in Ashdod.
According to Magen David Adom, the shooting took place on Route 4 near the Yavne interchange and the Nir Galim intersection in Ashdod.
The Israeli Police reported that there were two simultaneous shootings done by the same gunman before he was "neutralized".
It is noteworthy that news circulated that the Knesset will be discussing a bill that will allow the Israeli government to deport the families of those who perpetrate attacks against Israeli targets.
