Dunkin’ Donuts GM hails staff as ‘stars’ of the company
Sheikh Mohammed Saud Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of Finance Department - Government of Sharjah and David Rodgers, Dunkin Donuts General Manager honored the staff at the Company’s Annual Party held recently at Le Meridien, Dubai.
“Our staff’s commitment to excellent customer service, dedication, and expertise are the reasons why our operations have become successful and grown in the UAE. Our staff members are the stars of the company. With your commitment and motivation you have taken the company to greater heights. Our operation in the UAE has grown tremendously and attracted loyal customers who come back to visit and enjoy our products and service with a smile,” said Mr. Rodgers, General Manager of Dunkin Donuts.
A total of 200 Dunkin' Donuts staff members from Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain attended the party. Mr.John Varghese - Director Middle East, India and Pakistan – Dunkin’ Brands was also in attendance.
Recently, Sheikh Mohammed Saud Sultan Al Qasimi and Mr. Rodgers inaugurated the 40th outlet of Dunkin' Donuts at the Qanat Al Qasba, the popular leisure and entertainment destination in Sharjah.
With the opening of this outlet, Dunkin' Donuts - the world's largest coffee and baked goods chain with a sizeable presence in the Middle East and North Africa region - has once again demonstrated its commitment to the region, for which it has an investment outlay of more than AED10 million spread over the next three years.
“This year more than 15 new outlets are lined up as our products continue to expand their appeal in the region,” said Mr. Rodgers, “ Within a decade of commencing operations in the UAE, we have become one of the most established players in the coffee and donuts sector, catering to a multi-national community of customers across the UAE.
At the end of fiscal 2006, there were over 7,000 Dunkin' Donuts outlets worldwide generating total system-wide sales of US$4.7 billion.
