The Zayed Center for Coordination and Follow-Up has recently published a new book containing speeches and statements delivered by the UAE President, Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Additionally, the book includes statements issued by the Supreme Council, mainly those issued shortly after formation of the federation in 1971.
Efforts made at the time to attain membership of the United Nations, the Arab League and other international bodies have also been documented in this new book. In the introduction, the centre wrote the book highlights an important era of the UAE federation and how Shaikh Zayed led the efforts at the international level to obtain recognition for the young nation.
