InterContinental Citystars hosted the Second Economic Forum organized by the Arab Businesswomen's Council in conjunction with the Arab League and the Arab Labour Organization, and titled "Investment in Time of Peace".
The Second Economic Forum was inaugurated by Egypt's First Lady Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak, and was attended by HRH Prince Al Walid Ibn Talal, Sheikha Hessa Al Sabah Head of the Arab Businesswomen's Council and Executive President of the Forum, Ahmed El Maghraby Minister of Tourism, Amina El Gendy Minister of Insurance and Social Affairs, Farouk Hosny Minister of Culture, Mahmoud Mohieddin Minister of Investment and other Top VIP invitees, where they were all welcomed and greeted by InterContinental Citystars Hotel Management Team.
The conference was held in Al Saraya ballroom, Cairo's largest ballroom and was attended by over 500 delegates. During the 3 day conference, various speeches were given discussing the interrelation between investment and peace and that stability and security are prerequisites for prosperous investment climate and how to head towards sustainable growth and modernization.
“Arab women are capable of undertaking challenges of development and peace confidently” said Mrs. Mubarak in her speech at the forum.
