An Islamic TV channel director has been fired in Saudi Arabia for his support of the Muslim Brotherhood and ousted President Mohamed Morsi, reported the Associated Press.

According to AP, Alwaleed bin Talal, a billionaire Saudi prince, fired Tarek Al-Suwaidan, director general of Al-Resalah channel, a pan-Arab station headquartered in Riyadh, “for admitting he belongs to the Brotherhood terrorist movement" in Kuwait, where he is from.

On his twitter account, Al-Suwaidan has posted supporting comments for the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood and deposed president Muhammed Morsi, while condemning the militarily upheld interim government, AP reported.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah backs the interim government, to whom he plans to give $5 billion, in order to aid the battle against “terrorism and strife,” according to AP
