King Salman has said all planners, supporters, collaborators and sympathizers involved in the “cowardly” suicide bombing of a mosque in Al-Qudaih would be “brought to justice and severely punished”.

The King made the pledge in a cable to Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, deputy premier and interior minister, which was published by Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Sunday.

“Our efforts to fight the deviant thoughts, confront the terrorists and annihilate their havens will never cease,” the King said.

“We have all been severely pained by the heinous crime that targeted the mosque, leaving behind innocent victims.

“We have been excruciatingly hurt by the terrorist act, which is against all Islamic and humanitarian values.”

The King asked the crown prince to convey his personal condolences to the families of the victims and wished the survivors a “quick recovery”.
