Mohammad Ali Haji, an Indian National, was beheaded in Al-Khobar on Sunday afar being convicted of smuggling heroin into Saudi Arabia, a statement released by the Saudi interior ministry said, cited by SPA.
"The culprit was convicted by the Shariah court, and the verdict was approved by the cassation court and the supreme judicial council," said the statement, restating the determination of the Saudi government on ensuring law and order and severely punishing criminals, the agency added.
