Saudi girl dies of injury after a theme park game split in half

ALBAWABA - A girl died after a game broke in half while operating at Green Mountain Amusement Park in Taif, Saudi Arabia.

Sabaq Newspaper announced on Tuesday that a girl named Wadha bint Aziz Al-Fahmi was one of the victims of the Taif amusement park ride collapse, which became known in the media as the "Death Game," died days after sustaining severe injuries that required her transfer to Riyadh for treatment.

The deceased was medically evacuated last week from King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital in Taif to King Abdulaziz Medical City, affiliated with the National Guard, in Riyadh, via an evacuation plane, due to her critical condition, which required advanced care. However, she passed away.

On the other hand, her sister, Hanan, who was injured in the same accident, preceded her in medical evacuation to Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Medical City, and she remains hospitalized under observation.

In July, the Saudi outlet 'Okaz' reported that the theme park game, which is called "360 Degrees", split in half mid-air, leaving 23 people injured, some seriously, after its arm suddenly broke, clashed with the game's pole at high speed, and then fell to the ground. Additionally, people on the opposite side also collided with the pole.
