Saudi Arabia: Nearly 70 Inmates die in Riyadh prison fire

Sixty-seven inmates died and twenty were injured Monday in a fire at the Al-Hair prison, which is the Saudi Kingdom's largest prison, situated on the southern edge of Riyadh. 

 

Three members of the security forces were also injured, the prison service chief announced. 

 

According to the official Saudi Press Agency, Interior Minister Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz has directed the relevant authorities to immediately set up a committee to find out the cause and consequences of the fire. (Albawaba.com)
