Saudi Arabia's interior minister Major General Mansour Al Turki released a statement of Tuesday announcing that 10 members of an alleged Iranian spy ring had been detained by the Kingdom's security forces.
Within the group of 10 were eight Saudi Arabian citizens, one Lebanese and one Turkish national, according to AP.
This breakthrough follows the detention of 18 alleged spies on March 19, who the Saudi authorities arrested over counts of suspected espionage.
Saudi's Interior Ministry said that from confessions and statements made by those detained in March, those implicated in the spy ring recieved money from the Islamic Republic of Iran in exchange for vital intelligence and sensitive information about Saudi.
No further information over the idenities of those arrested has been released yet.
