Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, a world-leading innovator and manufacturer of professional display products, today showcased part of its portfolio of Large Format Displays (LFDs) at the Hotel Show 2008 (8 – 10 June). The models, varying from 40 to 70-inch, have been specifically conceptualized to service the digital needs of the worlds hospitality industry.

According to a new report published by Euro Monitor International - “Travel and Tourism in the UAE”, the hotel industry in the United Arab Emirates is experiencing dynamic growth as large international chains establish luxurious hotels that are attracting more and more tourists from the around the world. Samsung Electronics, as one of the world’s leaders in technology, is presenting its latest innovations in integrated hospitality solutions, which combine state-of-the-art technologies and cutting edge design.

“Samsung Electronics has invested heavily to provide the hospitality industry with cutting edge products that add value to its consumers,” said Marco Vocale, General Manager- Business Development at Samsung Electronics. “A thorough analysis of the hospitality sector and customer needs has resulted in the introduction of a range of innovative products which, with our unrivalled depth and quality, respond directly to the LFD industry needs.”

The new range employ exclusive Large Form Display (LFD) panels that minimize heat and blurring even after long-time use and have internal networks which allow users to remotely control the display content. When using the accompanying MDC (Multi-Display Control) function, users can control display power and screen settings in one PC, making it possible to manage multi-display effectively.

The LFD range of monitors is especially suitable for large scale public display, such as hotel, leisure centers and seminar rooms. The LFDs provides essential information and advertising in a clear, concise, eye catching manner. The slim bezel width enables the creation of high impact public information displays whether used as a single unit or in a multiple display environment. Therefore, LFD panels became an alternative for print media.

In addition, the monitors have a built-in interface (MagicNet Pro) that enables the creation and control of an extended network environment without any 3rd party software or hardware.

By connecting a multi-display composition module, users can easily create various forms of multi-displays such as straight-shaped and square-shaped designs. This module is inspired by building blocks which are easy to assemble and disassemble as Samsung Electronics’ patented technology has dramatically improved the convenience of the connection between displays.
