While international and local media visit the Main Media Centre during the Asian Games, Samsung has arranged for an exclusive lounge where members of the media can relax and utilize Samsung’s latest technology and products.  The Samsung Lounge will be located at the main lobby of the Main Press Centre.

“The lounge will be a place where members of the media can work, relax, or simply explore Samsung’s newest products.” said Mr. Gyehyun Kwon, Vice President and Head of Worldwide Sport Marketing and Global Communications of Samsung Electronics.  “This is the first time we’re offering a lounge for the media at the Asian Games, and we look forward to the press utilizing all it has to offer. Samsung is pleased to contribute not only to the athletes and spectators but to the media as a Prestige Partner of the Games.”

The home-like lounge consists of five components:
Samsung MVP Award Area: As a Prestige Partner of the 15th Asian Games, Samsung will present the Samsung MVP Award to the most outstanding athlete of Doha 2006.  The Samsung MVP trophies will be on display until the winner and finalists are announced on 15 December 2006.
Internet Station: Media members will have access to seven Samsung computers equipped with high-speed Internet access.
Home Theater System: Visitors are invited to experience what home theater viewing is all about. With a state-of-the-art home theatre system and 46 inch LCD screen, media members should have no trouble relaxing while watching movies or highlights from the Games.
Resting Area: With plush seating and a soothing ambiance, visitors can make free calls using the latest Samsung mobile handsets.
Catering Area: Food and drinks are essential to creating a relaxing haven, which is why Samsung will provide complimentary snacks and beverages so that the press can unwind and refuel.
The operation dates of Samsung Lounge are from November 28 to December 15, 2006 and the operation hours are from 09:00 to 23:00 daily.
