Samsung Confirms its Commitment to the Development of Culture and Science in the UAE at the Inauguration of the Alfred Nobel: Networks of Innovation Exhibition


Sheikh Nahyan Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Head of Higher Colleges of Technology, today attended the inaugural launch of the ‘Alfred Nobel: Networks of Innovation’ Exhibition at Dubai Men’s College, Dubai, UAE along with Princess Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden and Mr. Hay K. Yang, President of Samsung Europe Head Quarters.

 The international exhibition will run from March 30th to May 28th 2008 and will travel the world, visiting one major world capital per year until 2010.

MR Hay K. Yang, President of Samsung Europe Head Quarters, came especially to Dubai to attend the opening of the exhibition.  “Samsung is committed to the development of culture and science around the world and we are delighted to sponsor the “Alfred Nobel: Networks of Innovation Exhibition”, Yang said. He added: “This exhibition is a chance for the young generation to learn more about the innovative achievements of contemporary human civilization”.

During the two-month exhibition visitors will have the opportunity to experience first hand and learn from the work of Alfred Nobel as well as past and current laureates. In addition to the display of the work of past and present Laureates, visitors will have the opportunity to experience innovations from Samsung Electronics. There will be four zones dedicated to showcasing state-of-the-art digital innovations that inspire and add value to consumers’ lives.
