Veteran Indian stage actress Sarita Joshi returns to Dubai to perform her portrayal of the common housemaid in a Hindi play titled Sakubai, which runs for an hour and a half.
The play, praised by the Dubai audience last year is being staged once again on popular demand by the newly formed theater management group Rangmanch, in the framework of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) activity.
On Friday, two shows are scheduled to be staged at the Emirates Auditorium of the Crowne Plaza Hotel at 6pm and 9pm.
Housemaids form an essential part of most sub continental homes and Sakubai is the story of one such housemaid.
The hardships of the common housemaid are excellently portrayed by the talented Sarita Joshi who does justice to Nadira Zaheer Babbar's powerful script, according to Khaleej Times.
Furthermore, Sakubai promises to make the audience laugh, relating interesting details of extra-marital affairs of those surrounding her.
The event is being sponsored by Archi Watches in association with HumFM and co-sponsored by Arkays and Paper Chase International. (Albawaba.com)
