Sahara centre announces 45% increase in sales post family promotion
Aed 156,000 won as part of the daily raffle draw
grand raffle draw winners for the ex35, g37 infiniti and honda buggy announced

Sahara Centre, the leading family shopping as well as entertainment destination in the UAE and one of Sharjah’s prominent landmarks, concluded its successful Family promotion with a 45% increase in sales, 10% in traffic footfall and the announcement of the daily and grand raffle draw winners.

As part of the Family Promotion, exclusive draws were conducted to announce male, female and kid winners. Ramalingam Thangavel, winner in the male category drove off in an exclusive and stylish EX35 Infiniti, the female winner Fatima Ahmed in a G37 Infiniti and Alia Abdallah the winner in the kid category won the Honda powered buggy.

To add to the excitement, a total of 156 winners won Dhs 1000 each as part of the morning raffle draws.

A unique opportunity designed in the form of a Family Promotion comprised of Family Hours that ran between 10.00am and 1.00pm in the mall from April 23rd till June 7th 2008.Every shopper spending Dhs 200 at any outlet in Sahara Centre was eligible to enter the draw. The promotion aimed at encouraging shopping in the morning hours to provide customers a relaxed and peaceful ambience, while rewarding them.

Fatima Ahmed, UAE National, the winner of the G37 Infiniti said “I am shocked. When I got the call, I thought it was a prank played on me, but then I realized that it was a call from the Sahara Centre Management office. Sahara Centre is an ideal shopping destination as I have all the preferred brands for my family here. It is a one stop shopping mall. The spacious and vibrant ambience of the mall is one of the main reasons for me to shop here.”

Ramalingam Thangavel, Indian National on being announced the winner for the EX35 Infiniti says, “I love the car and I am thrilled. Sahara Centre’s ideal destination and easy accessibility makes it a very popular mall and I am a regular visitor here. I love the promotions held here and I do not shop at Sahara Centre only during promotions.”

Alia Abdullah, 16, student and a UAE National after winning the Honda Powered Buggy said, “I am very happy, I can’t believe this. I always shop at Sahara Centre and this is the first time ever that I have won. I will ride my buggy in the farm and play with my brother. I come to Sahara Centre every week and I absolutely love the food court and  Adventureland.

On the announcement of the winners, Jean Pierre Nammour, Managing Director, Sahara Centre said, “I am extremely glad to see a great response from all our shoppers for our family promotion. The shopping in the mall has increased drastically in the morning and we do hope that we see this trend growing in the coming months.”
