Informed sources told Al Bawaba that the Palestinian Prime Minster Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) has offered MP Saeb Ereikat the post of chief negotiator and minister for negotiation affairs in his governemnt. The sources added that Ereikat has indeed accepted the offer.
Ereikat resigned from his post in protest against Abu Mazen’s government who had sidelind him during meetings held between Abu Mazen and his Israeli counterpart Ariel Sharon.
