The newspaper run by Iraqi president Saddam Hussein's eldest son, Uday, accused United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan Saturday of being one-dimensional and carrying out the anti-Iraq policy of the United States administration.
"Annan thinks and acts one-dimensionally. He carries out the wishes of the US administration even if it violates his commitments as secretary general," Babel said. "His attitude conforms to the plans of the US administration of evil that is trying to use the secretary general and the United Nations to attack us," the daily said, according to AFP.
"It's up to the UN Security Council to stop the hostile US plan for Iraq," it said, adding that "its members, with the exception of the United States and Britain, can still save the world from dangers that spare no-one." (Albawaba.com)
