Visiting Russian Energy Minister Alexander Rumyantsev arrived in the southern Iranian province of Bushehr Tuesday on a one-day visit to observe construction work at the Bushehr plant, which Tehran is building with help from Russia.
Russia’s ambassador to Iran, as well as officials from the Russian embassy accompanied Rumyantsev during his visit.
The Russian Minister is due to leave Bushehr for Tehran later on Tuesday after inspecting the various parts of the plant, according to Qatar’s News Agency.
Rumyantsev met with several Iranian officials, including Iranian Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) head, Gholamreza Aqazadeh, Parliament Speaker Mehdi Karroubi and Vice-President Mohammad-Reza Aref. (Albawaba.com)
