ALBAWABA - Ukraine emergency services revealed via Telegram that three children were killed in a Russian attack in the northwestern Zhytomyr region.

The media reported that Moscow carried out massive overnight airstrikes against Kyiv. AFP reported on Sunday that

The victims were aged eight, 12 and 17, emergency services said on Telegram, adding 10 other people were wounded.

Sergiy Tyurin, the deputy head of the regional military administration, posted Sunday on Telegram: "Last night, the Khmelnytskyi region came under hostile Russian fire, which resulted in the destruction of civilian infrastructure... Unfortunately, four people were killed."

Russian attacks killed at least nine people in Ukraine overnight to Sunday, officials mentioned. Nonetheless, emergency services in Ukraine said earlier that four people were killed and 16 injured in the Kyiv region, including three children, in the "massive night attack".

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha expressed grief on X: "A difficult Sunday morning in Ukraine after a sleepless night. The most massive Russian air attack in many weeks lasted all night."

He added: "When the entire world calls for an end to the killing, Putin orders even more strikes, attacks, and murders of children."

"This once again emphasizes the imperative of a full, unconditional, and durable ceasefire for any meaningful peace effort. The world must pressure Russia to accept it and put an end to the killings immediately."
