ALBAWABA — Following Biden's decision to lift the ban on long-range missile use by Ukraine, Russian lawmakers warned that the US is risking a World War 3 if Kyiv initiates US weaponry use.

Maria Butina, a Russian lawmaker, said on Monday that President Joe Biden's administration was risking World War III by allowing Ukraine to employ US-made weaponry to strike deep into Russia.

"These guys, Biden's administration, is trying to escalate the situation to the maximum while they still have power and are still in office," Butina told Reuters.

By allowing them to be used against North Korean and Russian soldiers in the Kursk region, Joe Biden has lifted the ban on Ukraine firing long-range missiles into Russian territory.

With a range of 190 miles, the US president will permit Ukraine to fire US-made Atacms missiles. Reports claim that Biden's decision is supported by the fact that North Korean troops are fighting alongside Russia against Ukraine, and the urge to provide support for Ukraine.

The White House did not react publicly, but the story was initially reported in coordinated briefings to the Washington Post, the New York Times, and the news outlets Associated Press and Reuters.

Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, seemed to confirm the report, although he stated that any evidence of the policy change will be found on the battlefield, provided the missiles be utilized.

"Today, there’s a lot of talk in the media about us receiving permission for respective actions. But strikes are not carried out with words. Such things are not announced. Missiles will speak for themselves. They certainly will," Zelenskyy siad.
