Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Thursday that it will continue with the sale of S-300 anti-aircraft missiles to the Syrian government.
"We respect all our contracts and are honoring all our contractual obligations," he said in an interview on Russian state television.
"As yet, the contracts are not finished, they have not been delivered in full," he added.
Last month, the Syrian President claimed that the delivery of the missile system had already begun. Russia denied that this was the case, but confirmed that the contract had been signed years ago and said it would carry out the deal.
Russia has remained allied to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad throughout the uprising.
