Moscow favors adoption of a new United Nations (UN)resolution on Iraq to help the country's post-war reconstruction, Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov said
Thursday.
"The sooner the UN Security Council adopts such a resolution, the greater the chances of the international community being able to help the Iraqi people overcome the crisis," Ivanov said.
According to Interfax, meanwhile, Deputy US Secretary of State William Burns met with high-level diplomats in Moscow Thursday to discuss reconstruction efforts in Iraq as well as the content of a new resolution. (Albawaba.com)
