ALBAWABA - Russian officials confirmed that one person was killed and three others were injured in a "massive" overnight drone attack by Ukraine targeting Moscow and the capital region.
The casualties were in the towns of Vidnoye and Domodedovo. Moreover, seven apartments in a residential building were struck and destroyed in the drone attack, Regional Governor Andrei Vorobyev said.
Nonetheless, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that Ukraine fired 73 drones but the Russian army countered all. He added that the roof of one building was hit by drone wreckage.
Russia announced flights were restricted at Moscow's airports after the drone attack, moreover, one district train network was also suspended.
The attack is one of the biggest since Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
This comes hours ahead of a crunch meeting between representatives from the US and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia, which is willing to find a solution and reach a ceasefire to end over three years of war.
