Royal Jet, the international luxury flight services company headquartered in Abu Dhabi, participated in this year’s first annual sponsorship day organised by the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) and held at the Abu Dhabi Men’s College (ADMC) campus on 18th March 2008.

The Sponsorship Day provided opportunities for employers to meet over 1,500 Emirati men who are currently studying Engineering, Business, Information Technology and Communication/Media Arts at ADMC.

Through this event, students were given the opportunity to identify an area in which employers could support their academic preparation, enhance their career awareness and better prepare them for the realities of work, in exchange for their pledge to accept full time employment upon graduation.  In close partnership with Royal Jet and other prospective employers, HCT actively promotes this initiative with the belief that it can greatly enhance the learning experience of its students.

Amna Saif Al Mansouri, Royal Jet’s Vice President of Human Resources and Administration, explained that Royal Jet’s participation reflects the company’s commitment to improving employment prospects of UAE nationals once they have finished their education in line with the company’s Emiratisation Programme.

“Royal Jet is keen on providing opportunities to students to have access to professional organisations that can provide them with continuing education and networking opportunities. The event provided students an opportunity to learn more about the aviation industry and to develop valuable contacts," she added.

This is one of the many activities that Royal Jet supports in order to forge strong partnerships with educational institutions, which can be beneficial to all parties concerned.
