UAE market moves towards integrated approach to fire safety, water treatment and facility maintenance solutions
GENTECH, a member of the 25 year-old electromechanical and civil contracting provider GENINT group, has announced that the demand for its fire protection, facility maintenance and water treatment solutions has grown by 500 per cent over the previous three years, as the UAE market shifts towards an integrated approach to maintenance solutions.
“We have had tremendous success, especially during the previous three years, as our fully integrated approach appeals to contractors and developers who can see the benefits of one company managing their fire protection, facility maintenance and water treatment requirements. Furthermore, our technologically advanced high-end products make it very easy for buildings to adhere to the tough fire and water standards imposed by authorities,” said Sameh Awad, Business Development Director, GENTECH.
The company, which has offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, supplies products and solutions to many of the region’s leading companies, in sectors such as military, civil defence, police, water and electricity, universities, real estate and hospitality. GENTECH operates in three core divisions: fire protection and low current systems; facility maintenance; and water treatment.
The fire protection division is GENTECH’s oldest and most central division, where the company specialises in the supply, design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire detection systems, fire fighting systems and fire fighting equipment. All products are certified by the Civil Defence Authority and are based on the design standards approved by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
Integrated Low Current systems are included in this division, and incorporate CCTV & intrusion detection solutions, public address, smatv & intercom systems for clients. This is one of the company’s fastest growing divisions, as the changing dynamics of safety & security concerns are altering traditional approaches within this industry.
The company’s second core division – facilities maintenance, started off initially by providing electromechanical or civil maintenance contracts. Services include preventative maintenance and repair of systems such as HVAC, electrical & lighting, plumbing, pumps and generators. Conversely, the water treatment division, which was launched in 2000, aims to offset the need for fresh water in the region by supplying water treatment components, and installing plants for desalination and waste water treatment.
“The Arabian Gulf is one of the most exciting regions in the world for our industry, so we are eyeing further regional expansion to consolidate our presence in the market and create more opportunities for exceptional growth,” Awad concluded.
