Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, the governor of Riyadh region, has donated SR one million for Riyadh’s charitable society.
Speaking at the annual ceremony of the charitable society in the Saudi capital on Saturday evening, Prince Salman, who serves as the chairman of the board of directors of the charitable society, hailed the positive response of the Saudi citizens and philanthropists to the calls of the rulers and Ulema (Muslim scholars) to support the charitable societies and relief organizations, according to SPA.
The donations collected during the function, which was attended by Saudi Labor and Social Affairs Minister, Dr. Ali Al-Namla and a number of officials and dignitaries, amounted to some SR seven million, the agency added. (Albawaba.com)
