ALBAWABA - Rishi Sunak steps down as Conservative Party leader after UK election loss. Sunak said: "The British people have delivered a sobering verdict tonight, there is much to learn, and I take responsibility for the loss."

Sunak added outside Downing Street: "I have heard your anger," adding that he will step down when the new party leader is accomplished.

Rishi Sunak revealed that he accepts responsibility for the Conservative Party's general election defeat.

According to BBC, Keir Starmer won the UK elections as the new Labour Party leader and he will become the next British prime minister defeating Rishi Sunak.

Labour made a huge victory in the UK general election for the first time in 14 years ending earlier Conservative governments.
