rezidor appoints panos to head up mid east business development
The Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world’s fastest growing hotel groups, has appointed
Panos Loupasis as its Middle East Regional Director of Business Development.
A Greek national, Loupasis (35) joins Rezidor from Hospitality Management Services Middle East. His career in the hospitality industry started on an operational level in properties in Europe, the United States and South America. He moved to the Middle East in 2003 as Revenue Manager for the pre-opening team of Novotel and Ibis World Trade Centre in Dubai - a position he held until August 2005 before moving into the field of business development.
Loupasis will be based at Rezidor’s regional office in Dubai and will be responsible for enhancing the company’s Middle East portfolio. Rezidor currently operates 16 hotels under the first class full service Radisson brand and most recently introduced the mid market, Park Inn hotel experience to the region in Egypt.
Jean-Marc Busato, Area Vice President of The Rezidor Hotel Group said,“ Panos will focus on entering new regional markets as well as penetrating existing ones under the different flags of our brand portfolio.”
Loupasis also holds a BSc in Economics from the Aristotelian University in Greece and an MBA in Hospitality Management from Cornell University.
