Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's three-year prison sentence was overturned by a lower court in Cairo on Tuesday, reports the AFP.
The court granted the ousted President a retrial; however, the BBC reports it is still unclear if he will remain in custody.
Mubarak is convicted of embezzling upwards of $14 million which was budgeted for the maintenance of the presidential palaces.
