Resalat Hob is a love Note for HH Sheikh Mohammed
Dileep Nair, the Singapore Consul-General in Dubai, said that the Resalat Hob as a love note to HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, is a wonderful initiative that highlights and profiles the generosity and vision of a great person who has taken the disabled under his patronage. By his deeds, His Highness has demonstrated his desire to ensure that people who are less fortunate or disadvantaged are not left behind, said Mr Nair. HH Sheikh Mohammed is keen that all segments of society, whether they are healthy or disabled, should benefit from the rewards of the economic boom in Dubai and would not allow big disparities to appear. Mr Nair emphasized that the Dubai Cares campaign launched during Ramadan last year was an excellent example that crystallized the spirit of charity of His Highness.
Mr Nair added, “The initiative of launching Dubai Cares last year was something unique. The way people from all walks of life came forward to contribute various amounts, be it small or large, made it a very meaningful project. These augers well for Dubai. In order to become a fully developed nation, society has to look at the less material things. The people in the lower segments of society must be given due attention and a share of the benefits that others receive”.
Mr Nair felt that Resalat Hob is showcasing the philanthropic initiatives very much needed within the international community, and is timely now that Dubai is achieving record levels of economic growth.
Mr Nair concluded that by adopting such a holistic approach, Dubai is well on its way to becoming a developed nation and would be a shining example to nations all over the world.
