ALBAWABA - Over the past few days, Lebanon has received diplomatic messages carrying a threat of an imminent Israeli strike, a media report said.

Lebanon received notes on the need to carry out the necessary measures to stock up supplies for the war, whose geographic expansion and duration will not be known, the sources added.

"Most international envoys carried their concerns over the seriousness of the Israeli threat, but the most notable message came from the British side, which specified a mid-June date for the Israeli strike," al-Akhbar newspaper quoted sources.

Hezbollah and Israel's frequent cross-border battles, which have been going on for almost eight months, have been more intense recently.

According to an AFP count, since early October, there have been at least 453 deaths in Lebanon as a result of conflict, largely civilian deaths but also some combatant deaths. The Israeli army reports that at least 14 troops and 11 civilians have lost their lives.

In the midst of U.S.-led attempts to find a diplomatic solution, Israel has frequently threatened a military campaign to protect the border area. Tens of thousands of people have also been displaced by the violence on both sides of the borders.

Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel

Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.

Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip and captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.

In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

The latest statistics by the Ministry of Health in Gaza revealed that the death toll from Israeli brutal pounding on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has soared to 36,550+ people, with more than 82,959+ injuries.

Since then, approximately 85% of Gazans have been displaced, all of whom are suffering from severe food insecurity, and the healthcare system has collapsed. Hundreds of thousands of people lack shelter, and aid trucks are entering the area at a lower rate than before the conflict began.
