Radio Free Iraq (RFI) quoted an informed source in Kuwait's Foreign Ministry Monday as saying that Iran and Kuwait have formed a joint legal committee against former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein and his regime's top officials.

According to the report, the members of the joint Iran-Kuwait committee are expected to meet in late May, either in Tehran, or in Kuwait City, to exchange related documents and information on the purpose, in particular to reach a joint strong legal status against Saddam Hussein and the heads of the former Iraqi Baa`th Party.

The unnamed Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry source made clear, "The Islamic Republic of Iran and Kuwait will

prepare a comprehensive joint sue against Saddam that will be presented to the court in which Saddam would be put on trail in due time."

RFI said that besides the Iraqi nation itself, Iran and

Kuwait have been the two major victims of the former Iraqi regimes' "aggressive policies". (Albawaba.com)
