Arabs and foreigners last year bought up 4,191 dunums of Jordanian land, according to the annual report of the land and survey department, cited by the official Jordanian news agency Petra on Sunday.
The report says that citizens from Gulf countries topped the list of buyers, with Kuwaitis snapping up 1,943 dunums and Saudis 1,670 dunums. The Syrians came in the third place with 258 dunums, followed by Iraqis with 120 dunums, the Palestinians with 65 dunums and finally UAE citizens with 55 dunums.
