A reformist Iranian journalist has gone missing since Monday afternoon, reported the Iranian news agency (IRNA), quoting a report Wednesday.
The student news agency (ISNA) quoted the wife of Hamid Kaviani as saying that "he has disappeared since Monday evening and we have not yet received any news of him."
In mid-April, unidentified persons took Kaviani to an unknown place and freed him hours later following an interrogation, said IRNA.
Kaviani is a member of the editorial board of the reformist daily Hambastegi.
Previously, he worked for the now-banned dailies of Salaam and Khordad.
Salaam was the first reformist daily to be closed last year.
Conservative-dominated courts have also closed nearly 40 papers and put dozens of reformist journalists into jail since April 2000 when a massive clampdown was launched against reformist press – Albawaba.com
