ALBAWABA - Recent satellite images captured by commercial companies reveal the huge damage inflicted on sensitive military and strategic sites in Tehran and other Iranian cities following the intense airstrikes launched by the United States and Israel since Feb. 28.
These developments come amid high escalation in the region, which began with a military operation by the U.S. and Israel against Iran, resulting in the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several senior military commanders in Tehran.
Images captured by VanTor company on March 1 exposed extensive damage to buildings within the compound of Iran's Supreme Leader in the heart of the capital.
The footage reveals near-total collapse of key facilities within the heavily fortified security zone.
Other satellite images revealed that several key security and military sites in the capital were targeted, including the Ministry of Intelligence headquarters, where significant structural damage was observed in the building, as well as the Ministry of Defense, whose facilities were subjected to direct and precise airstrikes.

In the same context, the headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) was bombed, with images documenting the destruction of the complex, which serves as a major center for managing military operations.
The damage was not limited to sovereign sites but extended to air and ground military infrastructure.
Images taken by Planet Labs showed extensive destruction in the area surrounding the Vali-e-Asr barracks, located in Tehran's vital Sepah Square.
