Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone Authority (RAK FTZ) announced its “Gold Sponsorship” of the Second Ramadan Bowling Championship organized by the Naturalization and Residence Department in Ras Al Khaimah.
The Bowling Championship is open to professionals and amateurs who enjoy the game. It is a wholesome activity that promotes wellness and camaraderie among RAK community members during the Holy Month of Ramadan. A total prize of up to Dhs 200,000 is at stake for the winning participants.
Commenting on RAK FTZ’s sponsorship of the event Mr. Oussama El Omari, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone Authority said: “As a Gold Sponsor of the Naturalization and Residency Department’s Bowling Championship, RAK FTZ hopes to spread team spirit and enhance community ties, and RAK FTZ is keen to provide whatever support is necessary to ensure that this championship is successful and meets all expectations.” He went on to stress the support RAKFTZ provides to sports activities which highlight its commitment to supporting community social activities: “Strengthening our ties and ongoing relationship with the local community is a top priority for
RAK FTZ, as can be seen by our sponsorship of this championship, for the second year in a row,
and for other such public interest events organized by government organizations, as well as by
our commitment to a variety of other initiatives that contribute to the growth and well being of the local community, such as the Ras Al Khaimah press club; environmental preservation campaigns; and economic activities that reflect RAK FTZ’s dedication to the betterment of society.”
He also pointed to RAK FTZ’s efforts to encourage its employees to participate in sporting activities, including the RAKFTZ basketball team and it sponsorship of programs for students organized
by government and private educational institutions.
On behalf of Ras Al Khaimah’s Naturalization and Residence Department, Colonel Yusuf Sultan Al Nuaimi, Director, expressed his gratitude for the continuous support provided by RAK FTZ for the various activities and events organized by the Department including Bowling Championship in Ramadan, which reflects the keenness of the Authority to promote community participation and support sports events in the Emirate; and he also expressed his hope that this coordination and cooperation remains strong to benefit the public.
