Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, 16th August 2009: Jeddah’s only true five-star hotel will offer the finest Iftar and Sohour celebrations in the city during the Holy Month of Ramadan, sponsored by two influential international brands and the Kingdom’s most famous rally driver.
Rosewood Corniche is partnering with Italian sports car automakers Ferrari and Maserati and Middle East rally champion Captain Mamdouh Khayyat to support the hotel’s exquisite Ramadan dining concept. After incredible success last year, this year’s Iftar and Sohour festivities promise to be their most luxurious and exclusive yet.
“We are pleased to announce our partnership with Ferrari, Maserati, and Captain Mamdouh Khayyat to celebrate the Holy Month of Ramadan in true style,” said Hans-Peter Leitzke, Managing Director of Rosewood Corniche.
“Captain Khayyat will be making appearances at the hotel throughout the month, providing Jeddah residents, Saudi tourists, and rally enthusiasts the opportunity to meet one of the Kingdom’s leading sportsmen.”
The hotel’s Habsburg restaurant will provide the setting for the Iftar celebrations, offering beautiful views of the Red Sea. Executive Chef Richard Green and the culinary team will prepare traditional Ramadan dishes from the Arab world along with international fare, and the Iftar buffet comes at a family-friendly cost of SAR225 per person.

Habsburg will also host the exclusive Sohour meals for private bookings. Large groups of 50 to 120 guests can reserve the area which will be lavishly designed to pay homage to Arabic and Islamic art. At only SAR160 per person, the luxurious Sohour experience is perfect for companies, businesses, or large families who wish to celebrate in style, but with additional privacy.
For greater luxury and seclusion, the exclusive private dining suites are designed for small groups seeking intimate, opulent Ramadan celebrations. Each suite has a private dining room, offering a diverse menu for Iftar and Sohour and the highest level of personalised service. The connecting Majlis offers a luxurious space, in the style of a Bedouin tent featuring Arabic lanterns and floor seating on plush cushions, to relax.
The Ramadan private dining suites are available for Iftar and Sohour, and accommodate groups of eight to ten people. Iftar is priced at SAR250 per person for the suite, which provides the extensive buffet, as well as dates and Arabic coffee to break the fast. Sohour is SAR200 per person for the suite and buffet.
Furthermore, Rosewood Corniche arranges customised Umrah trips for guests to the nearby holy city of Mecca in the hotel’s fleet of the latest BMW cars. Pilgrimages to Islam’s holiest city, some 50 minutes from the hotel, are the perfect compliment to the Iftar and Sohour celebrations.
Designed for both business and leisure travel, Rosewood Corniche is ideally positioned on Jeddah’s Corniche, one of the city’s most impressive districts. The celebrated Jeddah Corniche runs parallel to the Red Sea for over 20 miles, and provides convenient access to the city’s business and leisure areas.
