RAKFTZ intensifies bilateral cooperation with high profile delegates from Spain
RAK FTZ received a high profile Spanish business delegation presided by (Augustin Eizagirre), the General Manager of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of (GIPUZKOA). The visiting delegation also included (Aseer Barandiaran)-International Affairs Manager of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of (GIPUZKOA), and (Catalina Shamorro) from the Commerce and Tourism Department-Basque Government (Region Government in north Spain) in addition to Spain Embassy representative in Dubai.
During the talks, the two parties reviewed the progress in the implementation of various bilateral partnerships initiated between Ras Al Khaimah and Spain recently. The two parties also discussed the possibilities of making progress in taking forward close ties between Ras Al Khaimah and Spain to a new level & looks forward to further enlarge the scope of their partnerships cooperation.
During their discussions, the two parties agreed that Ras Al Khaimah held tremendous potential for development and reviewed the state-of-the-art facilities the RAK FTZ offers to its registered clients and investors. The visiting delegation was also briefed on the key infrastructural projects Ras Al Khaimah has been implementing, which attracted investments from around the world.
Oussama El Omari the Zone General Director said “The increasing number of companies being set up at the RAKFTZ reveals the growing reputation of the zone as a business hotspot” .He added “The zone has been able to penetrate the international markets attract giant companies and make them start their regional operations at the RAKFTZ, the European companies registered with the RAK FTZ comprise 31% of the total number of companies registered with the zone. Among the key factors of the international exposure of RAK FTZ have been the international marketing campaigns and the clear and straightforward policies and strategies” Augustin Eizagirre said “We cherish the warm relations that we have with Ras Al Khaimah and look forward to opening up new avenues of cooperation between the public and private sectors of the two regions,”. Hailing the development witnessed at the RAK FTZ, he said that he looks forward to increasing the Spanish investments at the zone, which already owns the necessary qualifications to create an ideal environment for investors.
