An artist’s impression of the picturesque first stage expansion of the Hilton Beach Resort at Al Marid, Ras Al Khaimah. Convrgnt Value Engineering LLC is set to complete the chalets in a record 12 months under a ‘Design and Build’ contract arrangement.
The project perfectly illustrates the advantages of ‘Design and Build’, taking just three months from concept design stage to start of substructure works. An early on site start was possible because detailed design was finalised whilst soil improvement and infrastructure works were being carried out simultaneously.
This method of construction not only saves on long drawn out design development and consultants’ fees, it also enables construction to begin ahead of completion of design.
The first stage of the project comprising 116 rooms will be built in a landscaped area featuring private gardens, adjacent to the existing Hilton Beach Club.
