Radisson SAS Hotel, Dubai Media City is set to support the TECOM community as thousands of free zone members 'switch' off for Earth Hour 2009. Earth Hour 2009 is a global initiative to thrust an unprecedented global mandate for action on climate change (Saturday March 28 2009).

“We are behind ‘Green’ initiatives as part of commitment to managing a healthy, eco-friendly and responsible business. Our team has decided to engage community well-being and we are fully behind Earth Hour,” said Julia Alvaro, Director of Sales and Marketing, Radisson SAS Hotel, Dubai Media City.

She said that both Certo and Chef’s House have opted to extend Earth Hour to a whole evening activity and will serve a Special EARTH HOUR 2009 Candlelight Dinner (on Saturday, 28 March 2009) to highlight the importance of the message.

Meanwhile, Alvaro said that the teams at Icon Bar & Lounge have introduced a recycling reward offering a complimentary drink to visitors for every 10 old batteries they bring with them during Earth Hour.

"This quirky offer during Earth Hour (8.30-9.30pm) is for the people who want to recycle their waste in an eco-smart way," she added.
