Qtel Offers Special Mobile Phone Content for Ramadan
Variety of options available at Mozaic Mobile portal
Qtel’s Mozaic Mobile portal is providing a wide range of dedicated content for the Holy Month of Ramadan that will be available right through to the Eid Holiday.
Customers can now access Islamic content on the Mozaic Mobile homepage (www.mozaic.qa) from their computer, PDA, or on their mobile at wap.mozaic.qa. The Ramadan category, listed under the “Downloads” section, contains a host of greetings, themes, videos, and wallpapers related specifically to the Holy Month.
Additionally, customers can select from more than one hundred unique Ramadan and Islamic tones, including readings from the Quran, Hadith (oral traditions) and Anasheed (Islamic vocal music), via the MyTones service.
Sharing Ramadan messages via the mobile phone has become a popular part of the season, and Qtel is working with a number of specialist content providers to ensure the highest quality of content this year.

As well as the selection of ringtones and digital content, Qtel is also making its popular Prayer Alert service available for Ramadan.
In order to receive information about prayer times during the Holy Month of Ramadan, Qtel is offering prayer alerts five times daily, available to customers who send an SMS with the word “PRAYER” to 92973.
Customers can access MyTones by sending an SMS with the relevant tone directly to 92424, or by dialling the MyTones number, 9002424.
The special Ramadan content is available for all HALA and Shahry mobile customers until 10 October, 2009. There is no extra charge for roaming and international calls for MyTones. There are also no monthly subscription fees and the monthly charge is just QR 5 per tone. Calls to 9002424 are charged at QR 1 per minute and SMS to 92424 are charged at QR 0.5 per SMS. Web and Wap access is free.
