A Qatari opposition group on Tuesday blasted Emir Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani's decision not to attend the Arab summit in Lebanon, accusing him of wanting to sabotage inter-Arab relations.
"The Emir of Qatar shows once again that he is very determined to sabotage inter-Arab relations by deciding to not go to the Arab summit in Beirut," the Paris-based General Congress of the Qatari Opposition said in a statement received in Dubai, according to AFP.
Qatari Prime Minister Abdullah bin Khalifa al-Thani arrived in Beirut Tuesday at the head of the Gulf state's delegation for the two-day summit that opens Wednesday.
