Javna, the leading Arab firm in the field of software solutions and wireless applications, has completed building the first wireless Messaging Platform of its kind in the region for the benefit of the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Over the past months, Javna has employed its wireless technologies and expertise to provide the ministry with five smart messaging services aimed at better serving the ministry clients and allowing them to use the automated instant inquiry service via their cellular phones.
Javna’s CEO Mansour Mansour said the Wireless Messaging Platform would provide the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs the infrastructure needed to communicate with its employees via the Short Message Service (SMS) without any hurdles related to place or time. He added that the ministry will also connect with Qatari embassies and consulates on its private and secure network that employs the highest level of security and confidentiality standards.
“The ministry’s employees will be able, for the first time, to exchange short messages and send data and information from within Qatar or abroad using their cellular phones at no cost", Mansour said.
In addition, this smart system, Mansour remarked, is able to identify the party or department intended to receive the message, adding that the content of these messages can be derived automatically from the ministry’s various databases so that they reach their exact destination.
For example, he explained, the system can notify employees that their salaries have been deposited in their accounts, and indicate the exact sum for each employee. Staff members can also inquire about their account of leaves and receive a response instantly.
For his part, Business Development Manager at Javna-Qatar Mahmoud Al-Suwaid said the wireless system consists of five major applications, the first of which is Epicenter-DAC application, which identifies Bulk SMS and schedules these messages (day and hour) to be sent electronically to the ministry’s employees. It is worth noting that the system can derive the content of these messages electronically from the ministry’s databases according to their recipients.
The second application, the Epicenter-Enterprise, allows the ministry’s employees to exchange short messages, files and data through their private wireless system.
The third application, 2Way SMS, allows the ministry clients to inquire in an automated and instant manner via the SMS about their cases or any service offered by the ministry.
In order to achieve further productivity and dynamism, Al-Suwaid said "HR-Mobile application has been included to help the ministry employees communicate via the SMS from inside Qatar or abroad with the ministry’s various departments to obtain information related to their records such as remaining annual leaves."
Last but not least, the Messaging Platform included the Email to SMS application, which is designed to keep employees always connected to their MS-Outlook and notified of incoming emails by receiving their content via the SMS.
