Qatar’s Foreign Minister Shaikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabr Al Thani received on Sunday a written message from his Egyptian counterpart, Amr Moussa, dealing with bilateral ties and issues of joint interest, reported the Gulf News Agency (GNA).
The message was handed to Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud by Egypt’s ambassador to the Gulf state, said the agency.
Qatar has offered to host peace talks between the Palestinians and the Israelis.
The offer came during Al Thani’s last week visit to Washington, where he met briefly with Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres.
