The Gulf emirate of Qatar will on Sunday send seven doctors, two nurses and medical equipment to Gaza to treat Palestinians wounded in clashes with Israel, an official spokesman announced.
One of the doctors would fly back to Qatar with 12 Palestinians who are to be treated in Doha, the rest would remain on the Gaza Strip for an unspecified length of time, the health ministry spokesman said.
Qatar launched a week-long blood donor drive on Wednesday in aid of Palestinians and several thousand people marched through the streets of the capital on Friday to condemn the Israeli killings of dozens of Palestinian protesters -- DOHA (AFP)
